New apps slow every page.
Many apps add code to every page. Some of it stays in the theme after the app is removed, and product pages get slower on phones.
- Leftover app code
- Extra scripts
- Slower product pages
Your own Shopify developer, a message away every business day. 20 hours of work on your store each month, plus speed checks and update checks. If customers can’t buy, we start within 24 hours, any day.
Maintenance is for stores that already had a CartWhy audit.
Free-shipping progress in the cart, then collection filters on phones.
Shopify runs the platform. The theme, the apps and every change on top of them are yours to look after.
Many apps add code to every page. Some of it stays in the theme after the app is removed, and product pages get slower on phones.
A theme update comes as a new copy. Settings carry over, but code edits may not, and sections edited by hand can break.
A variant picker, a filter or the cart drawer stops working on one phone, and shoppers leave instead of telling you.
Fixed hours, the same every month, so you always know what you pay and what you get.
Picked together each month from your audit list or from new problems: conversion, speed, SEO or AI search. Each fix gets an estimate in hours first, and you approve it before work starts.
Every month we check how fast your key pages load on phones, and find the app or script behind any slowdown. Checks don’t use your 20 hours; a fix that follows gets an estimate and your approval, like any other.
We watch for new versions of your theme and apps and tell you when an update is worth it. Watching is free of hours; the update itself is done on a copy and counts toward your 20 hours.
What changed, why, and what comes next month. One page, in plain words.
Maintenance works from the list of fixes in your CartWhy audit. No audit yet? Start with the full store audit.
Fixes ranked by the audit’s priority. You can add to the list at any time.
Each change is made on a copy of your theme. It goes live only after you approve it.
At the end of the month: what was done, what we saw, and the plan for next month.
Bigger projects get their own fixed price, and you see it before any work starts.
No tiers to compare and no contract to sign for a year.
Your own Shopify developer and 20 hours of work on your store, every month.

You work with Vojislav, the founder of CartWhy: 10 years on Shopify and 500+ stores.
Read his story →On the fixes we agree on at the start of each month, from your audit list or from new problems. Before each fix you get an estimate in hours and approve it. Hours are tracked, and the monthly note shows how many were used.
No. Each month’s 20 hours are used within that month: if you send fewer requests, we spend the time on the next fixes from your list. Hours left at the end of a month don’t move to the next one.
If the cart, the buy button or a page stops working, we start on it within 24 hours, 7 days a week. Write to hello@cartwhy.com with “Urgent” in the subject. Other messages get a reply within 1 business day. Urgent work counts toward your 20 hours.
Yes, a CartWhy audit. Maintenance works from the list of fixes in your audit, so the first month starts with real work, not guesswork. If you haven’t had one yet, start with the full store audit.
Yes, after an audit of the store. We work on Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, including themes that were heavily edited, and the audit shows if something needs extra time.
Extra hours are $95 each, agreed before the work starts. A redesign, a migration or a large new feature is always a separate quote.
Checking them is. We watch for new versions of your theme and apps and tell you when an update is worth it and how long it would take. The update itself is done on a copy of your theme and counts toward your 20 hours. Settings carry over on their own; code edits sometimes have to be moved by hand. A large upgrade that doesn’t fit in a month, or a move from an older theme that no longer gets updates, is quoted separately.
Yes, a collaborator account. You can remove it at any time, and we ask you to remove it when the work ends.
Time off is announced at least two weeks ahead, and the month’s work is planned around it. During announced time off, urgent problems are started within 48 hours.
Everything we built is paid for in advance, so it’s in your theme and stays yours. We ask you to remove our collaborator access when the work ends.
Maintenance is month-to-month. Cancel any time by email to hello@cartwhy.com, with no fee. The month you’ve paid for runs to its end, with its 20 hours, and nothing more is billed.
